Dora the Explorer: Fiesta Playland with 50 Balls Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)We got this for our 16 month old, and she loved it!!! Everyday she played in it, hid in it, hid items in it, rolled in it. She loved it. It comes with the right amount of balls. (Picking them up can be "fun"-ha ha). It isn't very educational, but we made it educational by me picking up a ball and asking her "What Color is this?" She learned Blue, Red, Yellow, and Green! And you can play peek-a-boo, or hide items in it and have the child find what you are asking for. So, you can make it educational... If you have an electric blower-upper-thing, then use it to help blow it up!! Overall, recommended!

Pacific Play Tents Find Me Multi Color 6' Tunnel Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Like the first reviewer, I bought this tunnel for my dog.We are building an agility course for her. When I opened the package, the tunnel was bundled up with its stor-away ties, and when I untied the straps it just popped into place! That easy!I was suprised at how durable the material was and the metal wire that give it shape.I think this will last a long time. One thing I will warn, it was a little smaller than I thought it would be.Read the dimensions carefully, and make sure your child OR dog isnt too big for it!If my dog were two more inches high she wouldnt fit...and she is a 50lb australian shepherd. However, it is great for her!!I'm sure kids would love this too.Maybe I'll still have this when I finally have kids of my own!

Sun Stop'r - Kwik Cabana II Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I am a big fan of the pop-up cabana idea.I bought this one last year and it was great while we had it.It was also the only thing like it on the market (at the time), so I paid the hefty price. But it only lasted until the end of the summer and my daughter put a little too much weight on it while getting in (she was only 14 months old) and the top snapped. It was actually quite dangerous because the poll whipped back and was sharp.Luckily, it didn't hit her.

I called the company and they were not very helpful at all.The woman acted kind of shocked like "and what do you want US to do about it?"They would not replace it or send any parts to fix it.

But like I said, it was really great to have and I *almost* considered buying a new one for this summer. Then I saw the identical thing in KB Toys, for $19.I can't tell any difference between the two of them and it was way cheaper. We used it today and it was great.

Update:Tent from KB lasted only a couple of weeks and then it was useless as well.I bought one of those "pop-open" ones that are just two walls with a metal frame. With the slightest bit of wind it won't hold it's shape or just falls over. So, I still haven't found anything out there worth while which is so sad because it's such a great idea.

Pacific Play Tents Lil Nursery Tent Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought one of these tents last year when our daughter was 10 months old, and we wanted to work in the yard.Unfortunately she was a little weirded out initially by the tent, and us zipping her in.I then decided to move it indoors, and then get inside with her, and then play with her.It has never gone outside again. She and all her friends love playing with the tent.I think she would go inside it again if I had put it outside, but it was easier to keep it inside.

The one concern I have with these tents is the siding. It is good that you have mesh (so you can have some air flow through the sides as well). When we first used the tent, it was in the middle of the HOT TEXAS summer, and honestly, she was not getting much airflow into the tent. If you don't have a good breeze, those tents seem like a hotbox (just without the direct sunlight).

I would recommend using the tent indoors before using it outside (especially for those under 12 months), and make sure you have some air-flow.

Educational value of 2 stars because the children learn how to zipper the door open and closed. These things are pretty durable, good sized, and easy to break down and pop up.I really recommend, as long as you take precautions.
