(More customer reviews)I bought this tent because of it's simplicity.It's basically two sheets, two ropes, some clips and suction cups.You could actually make it from items around your house.Maybe it's psychological, but it's easier to let the kids leave up a tent, if the tent was made to be a tent.Sheets being strung around the house isn't quite the same and I always end up wanting them back.

My son tried out the rope and suction cups the first day.My husband helped him build a tent in the great room, which held up rather well.The rope isn't all that long, but there are two of them and my son ties them together.(Lest you wonder, it was the only time my husband had any hand in using this tent.)

My son then had a light bulb moment and decided he wanted a hideaway under his loft bed.The sheets were there until yesterday, when he and his sister decided they wanted to make an entrance to the stairway.This has been a most used gift.

My daughter now wants a tent.She already has a pop up one; but she wants sheets, like her brother has, one of her very own.Looks like we'll be buying the princess version of this tent next.

If you like simple children's toys and it doesn't bother you to buy a collection of things you might already own and can put together yourself, I recommend this toy.
